What could be more fun than having your very own kiddie car wash?

A very cool weekend project that I did with my grandson!
Here are the plans that I decided would be great for us.
A shopping list included. (this is for the frame, the decorations are extra and listed towards the end)
A trip to Home Depot and a little preparing......
First we cut all the PVC pipe to size. I purchased a cutter for this. It was easy and definitely better than making a mess with the saw.

Side note:  I purchased the PVC glue but decided not to use it. If you are constructing this for older children (3+) you might want it more stable and use the glue.

It worked great for my little ones without it.

All cut and ready to assemble.. (We took it outside for this.)
Gathering all our parts......
As we were assembling the cut pieces, I added "pool noodles.  (p

I decided to take the longer route and thread them on instead of cutting them down the center and 'hugging' them around the pipe.
I didnt want to take a chance of  them  being pulled off and all over my yard from the younger kiddies.

Also, I decided NOT to glue the connectors to the pipes. It held up great (other than when you move it... you might need to put a few pieces back together *and have a person on hand to help*)
It holds a lot of water after use and it was great to be able to drain it at once instead of waiting forever.   Also, I can take it apart for easy storage.

Now comes the task of 'decorating'!
The possibilities are endless. I caught myself looking all over the house and garage for things I could use!

I purchased a shower curtain from Target for the 'dryer' end.
I had the (cheerleader) pompoms on hand and they turned out to be great. I was able to attach more noodles to the pompom handles and make an archway.
The top of the shower curtain is attached to the pipe. I cut slits about 2 in wide.  I also cut a few strips to hang the sponges.

I cut (with scissors) the pool noodles into different sizes... this adds more color but also makes it easier to thread onto the pipe.

I purchased sponges from the Dollar Store... I made 'stars' out of some of them... (cut them strips and tie string around)
We added two misters....

There are many different choices... this is what I decided would work for us...

Our first 'test run'.....  SOOO MUCH FUN!

(The bubbles are from a bubble blower in the background)

and the end result...... PRICELESS..........
we used this for a daycare party the following week.. for all Car Wash party ideas go here:  the fo
