Some of our fabulous projects
This is a fabulous project for little (and big!) girls. I let them sort the beads into flower shapes. (they loved picking their own colors) We transported them to a tray wrapped in aluminum foil. I baked them in the toaster oven ... OUTSIDE.. (melting the beads causes a plastic burning smell) You have to keep a close eye on them. You can cook them longer for a 'flat' look or less for a 'puffy' look. We glued them onto hairbands, barrett clips and bows!
What a great gift for a grandparent! I did a set of flowers for each of the kids. We first cut flower shapes. (a different color for each child) We then printed the kids pictures and cut them in circles for the center of the flower. I added an extra circle of a different color for a contrast (behind picture) I glued the pieces together and then laminated them for durability. I glued each on a popcicle stick (with glue gun) and stuck them into an old planter .. added some greenery and what a lovely sight!
This was a Mother's Day gift we did last year.. I saved the coffee creamer containers and cut them in half. I cut about 1 1/2 inches of the stick off, leaving a flat edge and glued (hot glue gun) them around the container. The kids painted popcicle sticks with water/food coloring (for a weathered /pastel look)We planted flowers from our garden in each container.
